Happy first day of fall! We're looking at more fire danger and continued poor air quality across the Inland Northwest this weekend. Look for possible dry lightning and thunderstorms overnight and into early Sunday morning. It'll clear out to partly cloudy skies by the afternoon with smoky skies mainly across Central Washington and the Palouse. We're under an Air Quality Alert until Monday with a ban on outdoor burning until then.

Temps still feel like summer! We'll be warming to the upper 70s Sunday and a gradual cool-down to the lower 70s through the work week. Still not a wetting rain in sight - a mix of sun, clouds and smoke Monday-Friday.

See ya summer, hello fall! -DG
