SPOKANE, Wash.—For more than 100 years Catholic Charities has served the poor.  Catholic Charities of Spokane operates in all 13 counties of Eastern Washington.  They offer several programs, all of which are listed on their website  and serve people of all denominations.

“We serve people based on need not creed.  We don’t serve people because they’re Catholic, we serve people because we’re Catholic, we think it’s our job to do it”, said executive director for Catholic Charities of Spokane Rob McCann.

The month of December is especially important for Catholic Charities of Spokane because it’s the month they try to raise all the money they will need to operate the following year.  December is the annual Catholic Charities Christmas collection and it’s important to them that they continue being able to serve the poor for another entire year.
