SPOKANE -- A judge ruled Friday that a No Contact Order between Clay Starbuck and his three under-age children would remain in effect.
A jury convicted Clay Starbuck of killing his wife Chanin back in June. The judge also handed down a No Contact Order for Starbuck’s three youngest children.
Friday Starbuck and his attorneys were in court to fight that order. The defense argued that there was no evidence of physical or psychological harm to the children. However, the State said Starbuck violated his trust as a parent and indirectly involved them in the crime.
The judge ruled that the No Contact Order will stay in place for the next 36 months, or until the children reach the age of 18. The kids are currently 12, 14 and 16.
