SPOKANE VALLEY, Wash. -- Zome Design printed and sold 5,000 shirts since Gonzaga was ranked the top team in the nation on Monday.  Employees at Zome spoke to KREM 2 News on Wednesday and said that demand is much higher than they expected.

Workers said they expect the shirts to be available in grocery stores across Spokane by Friday. Albertsons and Yoke's Fresh Markets agreed to carry the shirts.

T-shirts began rolling off of production lines within minutes of Gonzaga University making history. For the first time, the Gonzaga men’s basketball team ranked number one in both polls. Prior to last week’s move to number two, the highest Gonzaga had ever been in the AP poll was number three back in 2004.

The Gonzaga University apparel reads “Top Dog Ranking #1.” The Collegiate Licensing Corporation and Gonzaga University officially licensed the garments. The #1 ranking apparel is available in short sleeve, long sleeve, crew sweatshirts, and hooded sweatshirts.

Shirts can also be ordered by contacting Zome Design or visiting their office at 3808 N. Sullivan.
