VANCOUVER, Wash. -- Two people are dead after a workplace shooting in Vancouver Monday morning, police said.
Responding officers found a gunshot victim in the 1800 block of West Fourth Plain Boulevard around 11:30 a.m., according to spokeswoman Kim Kapp of the Vancouver Police Department.
Police confirmed that they had found another person dead about an hour later.
Witnesses said the shooting happened in a Benjamin Moore paint plant. People who live and work in the area received reverse 911 calls asking them to stay inside while police investigated.
Just before 1 p.m., police told KGW there was no threat to the public. Kapp said initial reports indicated an employee shot his or her boss.
Kapp said she expects to release more details as they become available.
