SPOKANE, Wash. -- The Spokane Police Department responded to a call around 11:30 a.m. Thursday after a possible grenade was found at the Federal Courthouse.
The device initially appeared to be a possible threat but was not, according to the FBI. Investigators would not say what the device was.
The suspicious device had been found near the loading dock inside the courthouse Thursday morning. The package was delivered to the courthouse, according to SPD.
Officers blocked off streets in the area while the bomb squad investigated.
