SPOKANE, Wash. -- On Wednesday, 85 veterans took the Honor Flight Trip home to Spokane from Washington D.C.
The veterans had all just seen the war memorial built in their honor. Then an hour before landing they received a surprise.
Their friends and family wrote handwritten notes and letters. The letters told each of the men how much they were loved and how proud their loved ones are of their service to our country.
They also told each and every one of them that they were heroes.
