COEUR D’ALENE, Idaho -- Organizers and law enforcement in Coeur d’Alene are expecting extra traffic for Labor Day weekend’s Diamond Cup Hydroplane Races.
Coeur d’Alene Lake Drive from Potlach Hill Sunnyside will be reduced to just one lane. The Centennial Trail will be open but will be diverted from the Diamond Cup area.
If you want to park in the area you will have to leave your car at the Fairgrounds.
“We have transportation, our main transportation lot is the Kootenai County Fairgrounds. And we’ll be running school bus shuttle services throughout the day, every day,” said Diamond Cup President, Doug Miller.
The race will also be running shuttles to the Riverstone Shopping area. Parking is not allowed at the race site and you could be towed if you get caught.
