Three JBLM paratroopers became stuck in trees Thursday during a training jump, said Thurston County Fire Department officials.

Two the three paratroopers have been rescued. The other one was in the process of being brought down.

The troopers were deep in the woods several miles north of Rainier Acres Road near Rainier, at the south end of the base. Rescuers had to go in on foot and send climbers up the trees in order to free the troopers.

None of the paratroopers were injured.
