Clydesdale in winning Super Bowl ad given name

(KMOV.com) –The baby Budweiser Clydesdale that appeared in the popular Super Bowl commercial “Brotherhood” now has a name.

The female Clydesdale, who is 21 days old, has been named Hope. Her name was selected by Budweiser’s Facebook fans and Twitter followers through more than 60,000 posts, tweets and direct messages.

Other popular names submitted included Landslide (after the Fleetwood Mac song in the commercial), Buddy, Star, Raven, Spirit and Stevie.

Budweiser also announced the first male Clydesdale to be born in 2013 will be named Stan after St. Louis Cardinals great Stan Musial.

The “Brotherhood” ad featuring Hope won the top spot in the 25th Annual USA Today Super Bowl Ad Meter, the publication announced early Monday morning.

Panelists gave the winning ad a score of 7.76, which is on a scale of 0 to 10.
