Some jobseekers in China have to worry about how their armpits smell when they apply for jobs.
China's fourth largest airline recently implemented a 'sniff' test for new pilots. Hi-Nan Airlines is making sure they don't hire pilots with bad body odor. Recruiters are literally smelling the armpits of potential employees.
An airlines spokesperson said it's a customer service issue. Passengers shouldn't have to experience bad smells.
China has recently become somewhat obsessed with cleanliness, instituting a 2-fly rule for public toilets -- to limit insects.
