SPOKANE, Wash. -- A Fairchild Air Force Base military wife considers herself an extreme couponer and she is using her love for finding deals to help our military.
Bailer Covieo got 1,500 razors for free and donated them to KREM 2’s Treats 2 Troops campaign. She also got chapstick, gum and sunflower seeds for the troops without paying a dime.
For the past year, she has scanned websites like rakinginthesavings.com. The site shows her what coupons she can use and where to shop for the deals.
“I don’t take couponing lightly. A lot of my friends that know me know that I find joy and I’m very passionate about couponing.
Covieo not only donated to Treats 2 Troops, she sent a few items to the VA Hospital and local food banks. Her husband serves in the Air Force at Fairchild.
“I want to just show our troops that we care about them, that we are thinking about them. Everybody deserves a little something special over the holidays,” said Covieo.
Covieo said she will pick up more items from her friends in the next couple weeks to contribute to the drive.
