It’s nearly 7,000 miles from Spokane to Kabul, Afghanistan.  Separated by miles, our military members must continue to serve, regardless of the season.  Their families stay behind and serve in their own ways as well, supporting the mission by taking care of the ‘homefront’.  Despite deployments, carpools continue, school plays are staged, and homework must be done.  Thank you to those who serve here and abroad.  That’s really what Treats 2 Troops is all about.

It’s a small thank you and a reminder that despite that distance, all of us here at home are thinking of our troops during the holidays.  While we enjoy another beautiful fall and winter here in the Inland Northwest, we haven’t forgotten about those serving around the globe.  They have their mission, and we have ours this Christmas.  Together, we will make sure that all men and women serving overseas from Fairchild Air Force Base get a special package this holiday.  And we’ll reach beyond Fairchild and serve members in each military branch.  We hope to send out approximately 400 packages by December 1st.  Each package might contain different gifts, but all hold the same message from a grateful community sending our thoughts of warmth, comfort, safety, and support.  It’s hard to contain all of that within a small box, but it can be done.  It will be done.

Support Treats 2 Troops by giving a donation today.  Whether it’s a small treat picked from our top ten list or a monetary gift (used to buy treats!)  We will make sure it all goes toward the mission of merriment this holiday.  Make it a family affair.  Have the kids pick out a special treat to send or even write a Christmas card to mail.  The old song says…’I’ll be home for Christmas—if only in my dreams.’ Let’s make that dream seem a little more real.
On this web page we have listed all the drop off sites and where you can make a financial donation.  We’ve also included our top 10 list of preferred treats.  Please read on, and have a very Merry Christmas!
