WALLACE-- Speed limits are dropping on I-90 near Wallace, Idaho for a future construction project.

Transportation officials say part of the joint along i-90 near Wallace is deteriorating. Crews are going to fix that on the east bound lane. When that occurs, drivers will have to slow down.

There is a steel plate helping support a weakening joint right by the on-ramp.

For now the speed limit is 55 instead of 65 to protect the road and your car if you’re driving east.
