SPOKANE-- A south Spokane County neighborhood is upset about one stretch of road that's not getting worked on this Summer.

A rough stretch of Highway 195 down from the Eagle Ridge Development is in need of repair.

On southbound Highway 195, just south of Cheney Spokane Road, a message reader board shows an alert that says, “Rough Road Ahead Next Two Miles- Use Caution."

Many local drivers say they've known about and felt the bump for quite some time.

Bill Chapel says he drives 40 to 50 thousand miles a year for his profession.  He's made countless trips down the stretch of highway and said “this is probably one of the worst stretches of road around eastern Washington that I drive.”

We rolled our camera on top of our news van as we drove the two mile stretch.  There's constant shaking, and strong jolts when we hit the rough spots.

There is some new patchwork on the road, but it appears that’s all the repairs for right now.

A Department of Transportation official acknowledged the roadway is in bad shape, but says it does not appear this stretch is slated for major resurfacing work this summer.
