BONNER COUNTY, Idaho-- A deadly wreck blocked part of Highway 41 south of Priest River on Tuesday afternoon.

Idaho State Police said Anna M. Hurst, 19, died in the 8:00 a.m. crash. Hurst was traveling northbound on Highway 41 when she attempted to pass another vehicle according to authorities. ISP troopers said Hurst hit another vehicle hauling a trailer head-on near mile post 30.

Hurst was from Oldtown, Idaho and was driving a Dodge Stratus.

The crash blocked both lanes along Highway 41 for about five hours.

ISP troopers said Hurst hit a man from Newport, Washington. He was transported to Newport Hospital with injuries.
