SANDPOINT, Idaho-- Crews are wrapping up the Sandcreek byway construction in Sandpoint, Idaho.
After years of construction and planning it’s almost time to open up a byway through Sandpoint, Idaho.
In just a few weeks the byway will finally open. It runs through Sandpoint and will serve as a bypass for Highways 2 and 95.
Right now crews are working on irrigation, signing and the Cedar Street Bridge. Workers are also dealing with some cracks on the byway due to parts of the structure settling.
The project is still ahead of schedule. The byway was originally going to open this November but should open May 31st.
