SPOKANE, Wash. -- An eight vehicle crash slowed down traffic Friday morning along eastbound I-90 near Maple Street in Spokane. The crash blocked two of the three lanes around 10:30 a.m.
Authorities spent more than an hour trying to clear the scene. Washington State Patrol troopers worked to sort out the wreck.
Troopers said the wreck started with two cars. The crash caused a chain reaction with six more vehicles. Amongst the eight vehicles was a delivery van. Authorities said the driver of the van hit the gas instead of the brakes and launched into a car.
The drivers involved suffered minor injuries. Troopers indicated that the driver who caused the pile up could face charges.
