SPOKANE-- A woman was taken to the hospital Monday after being hit in her wheelchair by a car in East Spokane.
Officials say around 1:15 p.m. a man was turning left onto Trent from Erie. A man was pushing a woman in a wheelchair across Trent heading south. The vehicle hit the wheelchair and the woman fell out onto the road. The man pushing her also fell to the road.
The woman was taken to an area hospital to be treated for her injuries. The man pushing her only suffered a few scraps and was treated on scene.
The driver of the vehicle was no injured.
The driver of the car was cited for not yielding to pedestrians in a crosswalk.
