SPOKANE -- We now know the name of a man hit and killed by a mini-van Friday night in North Spokane.

Police have identified the victim as 56-year-old Steven Shockley.  A car hit him while he was trying to cross the street with his dog at Francis and Cannon.  The accident happened at 6:15 p.m.  Shockley later died of his injuries at a hospital.  His dog was also killed.

Investigators have not said if they will charge the driver.
