COCOLALLA, Idaho-- One person died in a crash involving several vehicles on Highway 95 Saturday morning.

It happened around 8:40 a.m. near Cocolalla.

Bonner County sheriffs and Idaho State Police responded to the wreck involving four tractor trailers and two cars. ISP says one driver involved was traveling southbound on Highway 95 when he lost control and struck Richard Walston, 58, of Colville. Walston then struck a semi truck, which flipped on its side. It led to a domino effect of wrecks involving several drivers.

Trailer driver James M. Mady, 49, from Creswell, Or. was killed in the crash.
Walston was transported to Bonner General Hospital and then flown by Medstar to Sacred Heart.
State officials cleared the area Saturday night after 11 hours.  The road is now back open to all traffic.
