SPOKANE-- A driver had to be extricated from his car after the vehicle became lodged under a moving truck in Spokane County.
The moving truck was sitting at a stoplight at the intersection when the sedan rear-ended it. The car became stuck under the back of the truck.
Police say there were no signs the driver, a man in his twenties, attempted to use his brakes. A cell phone was found in the front seat, leading Spokane County deputies to believe he might have been texting.
Emergency crews took the driver to the hospital, where he was listed in serious condition.
Both people in the moving truck were taken to the hospital for minor injuries.
