POST FALLS, Idaho-- Medics rushed a driver to the hospital after a car went off an overpass from I-90.

It happened around 3:30 at Pleasant View Road.

75-year-old Donald R Cochrane was driving eastbound on I-90 when his vehicle left the roadway.  The vehicle hit a concrete retaining wall between the bridges and slid down the embankment.  It eventually came to a rest against the barriers on Pleasant View Rd.

ISP is working to figure out how the crash happened.

The car's top was completely smashed. Cochrane was taken to Kootenai Medical Center for unknown injuries.
