14 year old killed in Bonner Co. house fire

MOYIE SPRINGS, Idaho -- A teenager was killed early Friday morning in a house fire near Moyie Springs, Idaho. The fire started around 2am. By the time firefighters arrived, the log home was engulfed in flames.

The home was occupied by David and Cheryl Elsberry and two of their children. Their 14 year old daughter didn't make it out of the home. David Elsberry made several attempts to get inside and rescue his daughter and was seriously burned.

Two of the family members are now in the hospital.

The Bonner County Sheriff's office, Idaho State Police and Idaho Fire Marshall are investigating the fire.

They say the cause is unkown, but it was accidental.
