GRANT CO. WA-- Crews have a 3,600 acre wildfire 40 percent contained near Ephrata.

Officials originally thought the fire had destroyed about 20,000 arces, but downgraded that estimate Monday morning.

The fire covers 8 square miles and has already burned a home.

Officials say the fire started aroudn 9 a.m., but they do not know what may have ignited it. Light winds upto 15 miles per hour have caused the flames to move quickly.
