Shortly after 11:00pm - Witnesses report hearing shots fired in the area between the First Presbyterian Church and the Latah County Courthouse near 5th and Van Buren. Some witnesses reported seeing a man "shooting at the courthouse and cars" from the parkinglot in between the curch and the courthouse.

Minutes after initial shots: Police duck for cover. A civilian, a police officer, and a sheriff deputy are hit. One man reported seeing a law officer laying on the ground for more than 20 minutes before being pulled to safety. More than 30 rounds are fired into the dispatch center of the courthouse, and over 75 rounds were fired from the shooter(s).

Around 11:30pm to 12:00am - Police tell residents in the neighborhood around the church to remain indoors and away from windows. Stores, bars, and all streets are shut down. The church and the surrounding area is considered an active sniper scene.

Around 1:00am - Residents and police report hearing a muffled gunshot from within the church.

4:00am - Police give a press conference, saying that officers did not return fire and that the shooting was conducted as an "ambush" on law officers.

6:00am - Tactical teams approach the church in armored vehicles and begin attempting to communicate with the sniper inside via a bullhorn.

6:15am - Tactical teams make entry into the church and find 2 people dead. Both are in seperate rooms and one has a high-powered rifle next to them.

6:45am - Police hold a press conference announcing their findings and collapse the crime scene into an investigation of the shooting scene and the church.

9:00am - Police have identified the two officers shot in Moscow, Idaho. We have learned the first officer is Brannon Jordan is a Sheriff's Deputy with the latah County Sheriff's Office. He is in Serious condition at Gritman Medical Center in Moscow. The other officer is Sgt. Lee Newbill, he has been killed in the line of duty from gun shots from the sniper. One other civilian was shot outside, he is in stable condition and under went surgery earlier today.

1:35pm: We have just learned the name of the person shot inside the church in Moscow. He is Paul Bauer, he is the care taker of the church and is described as the grandfather of the church.
