Amid concerns among consumers, inspectors are trying to correct pumps that may be charging customers more for gas while at the same time looking for pumps that may be shortchanging business owners.
Only three service stations have been tested in Spokane thus far.
One service station was found to have not been charging customers enough for gas.
The Washington State Department of Agriculture said repetitive use of fuel pumps is the direct cause of inccuracies in prices and gas amounts pumped.
If you suspect a faulty pump call the weights and measures department in Spokane at (509) 625-6611.
