ST. ANTHONY -- An eastern Idaho man convicted of raping and impregnating his girlfriend's 10-year-old daughter has been ordered to spend at least five years in prison.
Guadalupe Gutierrez-Juarez, 38, is going to prison for raping a young girl.
Guadalupe Gutierrez-Juarez, 38, was sentenced to five years to life in prison Tuesday in 7th District Court.
He pleaded guilty in September to felony rape as part of a plea agreement.
He was arrested in April after the girl gave birth by a Caesarean section at Madison Memorial Hospital, setting off an investigation by police.
The girl's mother has also been convicted and sentenced in the case.
Last month, Isabel Chasearez was sentenced to between one and 10 years in prison after pleading guilty to felony injury to a child for failing to provide proper prenatal care for her daughter.
Investigators say the girl became pregnant at age nine, sometime between August and September 2007.
