SPOKANE - City of Spokane snow removal crews are plowing, de-icing and sanding in the City’s snow emergency routes and major arterials this morning as the snow continues.

Graders are back in residential hill routes this morning to help improve conditions there.
City officials today are urging residents and commercial property owners to shovel out hydrants and sidewalks to assist with safety issues.
Clear sidewalks are critical to help kids get to school safely.
Buried hydrants, meanwhile, could cost precious minutes in fighting a fire.
The City’s Building Official is advising owners or tenants in flat or low-slope roofs to take steps to remove snow to lessen the chance of roof collapse.
At least 28 structures had collapsed roofs last week within the City of Spokane.
