The building suffered a catastrophic roof collapse and personnel on scene worked on controlling the utilities (disconnecting natural gas and electrical) as well as accounting for all employees that may have been.

The building occupants that are affected include:

* Futon Visions.

* Added Touch Framing

* Donuts to Go.

Roads affected included Division southbound from Cozza to Francis.

Other locations where crews responded included the following:

- 9107 North Country Homes Blvd. - The Other Mothers clothing store near the Division Y in North Spokane continued to sag. Employees were frantically removing the store's contents.

- 2801 N. Pittsburg. Authorities said the owner of this office equipment supply store - Interior Solutions - just put a new roof on the building, which has a steeper pitch than the previous roof.

Despite that effort, 45 percent the roof still caved in under the weight of the snow.

Fire crews were initially told that a worker may be present at the facility during the collapse; however that was determined to not to be the case and the worker was accounted for. As of noon Avista was still in the process of disconnecting the electrical utilizes to the building. The building to the north also moved its vehicles and equipment due to the collapse potential.
