PULLMAN -- Washington State head coach Mike Leach dismissed sophomore linebacker C.J. Mizell from the football team for a violation of team policies on Tuesday.

Mizell was in a fight at the Delta Tau Delta fraternity on Friday night, but he fled the scene before police arrived. He allegedly punched someone after he wasn't allowed into a party. Mizell was eventually arrested on Sunday on charges of assault and trespassing. He was booked, cited and released.

Mizell played in 10 games last season, recording 56 tackles, three sacks and two fumble recoveries.
