PULLMAN - A pair of Washington State defensive starters were arrested over the weekend for separate offenses.

Pullman police arrested Travis Long, a senior DE/OLB from Spokane for minor in possession Friday at 11:02 p.m. We're told a bike cop saw him with an alcohol container in his hand and Long threw it away. Long turns 21 Tuesday. The Gonzaga Prep grad started all 12 games for the Cougs in 2011, and was a second team All-Pac-12 pick.

Long is in Los Angeles with head coach Mike Leach for Pac-12 media day on Tuesday.

On Sunday night Anthony Laurenzi was arrested for 3rd degree theft at the Walmart located at 1690 SE Harvest Drive. Laurenzi was also a full-time starter at defensive tackle during his redshirt junior season in 2011.

Laurenzi was been dismissed by Mike Leach for violation of team policy.

A WSU spokesperson told KREM 2 Sports that "coaches are aware and it will remain an "internal matter going forward."

Both could face up to a year in Jail. Police say there are no court dates set yet.
