PULLMAN -- Washington State University quarterback Connor Halliday was released from Pullman Regional Hospital on Tuesday.
Halliday was admitted to the intensive-care unit after Saturday night's loss to Utah for a lacerated liver. He spent Saturday and Sunday night in the ICU, and stayed an extra night in the hospital on Monday.
Halliday took plenty of big hits during the 30-27 overtime loss to the Utes on Saturday. That prompted WSU coaches and players to commend his toughness after the game, which was Halliday's first career start.
A Ferris High School graduate, Halliday will not make the trip to Seattle with the Cougars for the Apple Cup.
