PULLMAN, Wash.-- WSU quarterback Jeff Tuel was named to the Davey O'Brien National Quarterback Award watch list Wednesday.

The award is given to the nation's best quarterback at season's end.

Tuel is coming off a season where he appeared in just three games due to injury, but expectations are high this season in Pullman, where Mike Leach and a new pass-happy offense are set to debut in just about a month and a half.

The Cougs open the season on August 30th at BYU.
