PULLMAN – Washington State University Head Men’s Basketball Coach Ken Bone announced today that junior guard Danny Lawhorn is not participating in team activities due to a violation of team rules. There is no timetable set for his return.
 
The 5-foot-11-inch junior guard is in his first season in Pullman after playing the last two for San Jacinto College, a JUCO program in Pasadena, TX. The Hartford, CT native averaged 9.9 points and 8.43 assists as a sophomore.
 
Lawhorn was a second team all-conference and third team all-region selection in 2013.
 
Official practice for the Cougars starts today, Friday, Sept. 27, with their exhibition game on tap for Friday, Nov. 1 against Central Washington. WSU opens up the 2013-14 season hosting CSU Bakersfield at Beasley Coliseum, Friday, Nov. 8 at 7 p.m.
