PHILADELPHIA -- The Philadelphia Eagles have signed former Washington State Linebacker Travis Long.

Long missed his final game in Pullman due to an ACL tear. He then went undrafted. The Gonzaga Prep grad was cleared to resume football activities earlier this month.

The Eagles reached out to the undrafted free agent after Philadelphia LB Jason Phillips suffered a torn ACL Monday afternoon in practice.

Long's career with the Cougs is highlighted by his 47 starts, 20.5 sacks and over 200 tackles. The former Gonzaga Prep Bullpup is accustomed with the Eagles new 3-4 defensive scheme, because he learned the system under WSU Head Coach Mike Leach.
