With Brock Motum missing the majority of Washington State's CBI semifinal matchup against Oregon State, Abe Lodwick went off for a career-high 23 points and 12 rebounds as the Cougars grabbed a 72-55 win over the Beavers.

Motum suffered a right ankle injury just two minutes into the contest, sidelining him for the remainder of WSU's game against the Beavers. His status for the remainder of the tournament is uncertain.

Lodwick tied a career-best 16 points in the first half, and finished with a double-double. He ended up 5-of-8 from three-point range, and 8-of-12 from the field.

Reggie Moore added a season-high 22 for Washington State.

The Cougars led 39-29 at the half, and held on for a comportable win over their Pac-12 rivals.

WSU now moves on to face Pittsburgh in a best-of-three CBI championship series, starting Monday at 7:00 p.m. in Pullman. Game 2 will take place in Pittsburgh, as well as Game 3 if necessary.
