PULLMAN -- The Washington State Cougar football team has waited a long time to officially put last season behind it. Sunday's training camp opener did just that.
The Cougs hit the practice field for day-one in preparation of the 2010 season, looking to improve on just the one win from last year.
WSU doesn't really lose much as far as impact players from last season. James Montgomery returns to the backfield after suffering a debiliating leg injury last season. Sophomore Jeff Tuel enters his first full year as the Cougars starting quarterback. Paul Wulff returns for his third year as head coach.
The Cougs open the season September 4th at Oklahoma State. Washington State's first home game is Saturday, September 11th versus Montana State.
