It is hard to believe, given the proximity, the lack of history between Eastern Washington and Washington State. On Saturday they'll meet at Martin Stadium for the first time since 1908.

While the programs haven't faced each other in over a century, the coaches have some history. In 2008 Beau Baldwin made his EWU coaching debut in Lubbock against Leach's Texas Tech team, a game the Eags lost 49-24.

Baldwin says they've watched some Texas Tech film to prepare for the Cougs.

Both coaches say there are some similarities between their pass-heavy high powered offenses. Conventional wisdom might suggest a shootout, but neither offense lit up the scoreboard in last week's openers.

The Inland Northwest foes meet at 12:00 p.m. in Pullman.
