The University of Washington and Washington State University football programs announced their 2013 football schedules on Thursday.
Opening weekend presents interesting match-ups for both teams. The Huskies will play Boise State at home -- the second game in a row against the Broncos. Boise State defeated UW 28-26 in the Las Vegas Bowl on Dec. 22.
On the same day, the Cougars play in the Deep South at Auburn, an SEC team that won the 2010 BCS National Championship before enduring a middling 2011 and a disastrous 2012 season. Auburn will have a new coach -- Gus Malzahn -- eager to mark a first home win.
The Apple Cup again will take place on the day after Thanksgiving -- Nov. 29.
