Spokane Chiefs

Spokane Chief forward Curtis Kelner was suspended by the Western Hockey league for two games following a hit on Portland's Brett Ponich last Friday night in the Spokane Arena.

The suspension comes under the league's supplemental discipline rules. Ponich was injured on the play and missed the Winter Hawks games on Saturday and Sunday.

Kelner will miss the Chiefs next two games, Friday at home against the Saskatoon Blades and Saturday on the road at Kelowna.
