Cougars picked to finish last in conference

LOS ANGELES -- The college football season came one step closer to starting Thursday with Pac-10 Media Day. That also means the media poll was revealed.

Washington State was picked to finish last place in the conference. They earned only 61 points.

USC was nailed as the top team for the sixth straight season. They picked up 38 of 39 first place votes and 389 overall. California, picked to finish fourth, received the other first place vote.
Arizona State was predicted to finish second, their highest preseason ranking since 2003. Oregon rounds out the top three.
The Cougars start camp on August 5th in Pullman. They open the regular season August 30th in Seattle against Oklahoma State.
