So Long: Seahawks won't return to Cheney

CHENEY, Wash. -- Eastern Washington University confirms the Seattle Seahawks will not return to Cheney this summer for training camp.

The decision is apparently linked to the fact the Hawks have an exhibition game scheduled in China. The team worried it would only be at EWU for a short time before packing up again.
Last year, the Seahawks announced plans to move their summer training camp to Renton, Washington starting in 2008.
An Eastern spokesperson says the university is thankful for exposure the Seahawks have given it. We are still awaiting a statement from the team.
