Gonzaga now ranked 5th in AP poll

SPOKANE, Wash.--The Gonzaga Bulldogs jumped four spots to rank fifth in the weekly Associated Press Top 25 rankings.

Mark Few and his Gonzaga Bulldogs moved up to number five in the AP Top 25 weekly poll.

The Bulldogs big jump came after their huge win over #12 Tennessee Sunday in the Old Spice Classic Tournament championship game.

The Bulldogs' gain came at the expense of Notre Dame, Texas, Louisville, and Michigan State, all of whom lost last week.

The Zags are only preceded in the poll by North Carolina, Connecticut, Pitt and Duke.

This is the highest Gonzaga has been ranked since they finished the final AP regular season poll at number five in 2006.

The highest Gonzaga has ever been ranked was third in the final AP poll of the 2004 season.

Tennessee even jumped two spots to #10, despite losing to Gonzaga.
