SPOKANE -- The Spokane Shock finally have their quarterback situation settled.
The team placed Bill Stull on Injured Reserve on Wednesday. That means he'll miss at least the next four weeks. He injured his knee last Saturday against Dallas.
That's on top of Kyle Rowley being placed on IR on Tuesday, meaning that both of Spokane's quarterbacks are out for the next month.
To fill the void, the Shock added quarterbacks Casey Hansen and Steven Sheffield to the roster. Hansen was a backup to Nick Davila in Spokane in 2009.
This time Hansen gets to be the starter. Head coach Rob Keefe made the announcement Wednesday night during the taping of our coach's show.
Hansen has arena football experience, but only in the af2. He completed 72.4% of his passes (42/58) for 543 yards, with 13 touchdowns and no interceptions in 2009.
Spokane faces Tampa Bay in a rematch of last year's ArenaBowl on Friday. Kickoff is scheduled for 8pm at Veterans Memorial Arena. You can watch the game live on Universal Sports (over-the-air on channel 22.2 and Comcast channel 116).
