SPOKANE -- The Spokane Shock are just 15 days away from the start of the 2011 regular season. They open the year on the road against San Jose on Friday, March 11th.

While the media and fans are making a big deal about the Shock being defending ArenaBowl champions, the team says that's the last thing on their mind. The past is the past, according to several players we talked to.

The Shock made an amazing run to the title last year (snapping off 11 straight wins at one point), taking down the Tampa Bay Storm 69-57 for the championship. It was Spokane's first season in the Arena Football League.

In all, the Shock have three championships in their five years of existence. Two of those titles came when Spokane was a member of arenafootball2, but the latest came in the AFL.

KREM and KSKN are the new television home for the Shock. We also just built a Spokane Shock page right here on KREM.com. Be sure to check it out!
