SPOKANE -- The Spokane Shock are pegged as one of the best teams in the Arena Football League again. They're ranked No. 9 in the AFL preseason coaches' poll.
The Arizona Rattlers claim the top spot, although the San Jose SaberCats received the most first-place votes with ten. Spokane did not receive any first-place votes.
Four of this season’s top ten ranked teams did not make the 2012 playoffs.
The Shock open the 2012 regular season on Monday against Iowa. Kickoff is scheduled for 7pm inside Veterans Memorial Arena.
