SPOKANE -- The Spokane Shock aren't throwing away this week's season finale against the Jacksonville Sharks.
There's plenty of reason for both team's to blow this battle off. The squads are both heading to the playoffs, and there's no room to improve their seed.
But, when the football is kicked off at 5pm in Jacksonville on Friday, the Shock are going to give their best effort. That's what this week's starting quarterback Kyle Rowley hopes at least.
"For me and the other players, it's full-tilt, straight ahead," Rowley said at practice this week. "We don't want to get in the habit of playing any other way."
Spokane is 9-8 on the year, winners in five of their last six games. You can watch live on the NFL Network as they try to make it a ten win season.
The Shock face Arizona in the first round of the playoffs next Friday (July 29th) at 7pm in Phoenix.
