SPOKANE -- Shock defensive back Terrance sanders wondered earlier this week where he was this time last year. The answer: home. That as a result of Spokane falling short of the playoffs for the first time in franchise history.

This time around the squad is happy to still be at work as August approaches. Andy Olson and company host Chicago in their postseason opener Thursday. They topped the Rush 76-61 in March.

The team feels like they are peaking at the right time, with five straight wins, and six consecutive at home. Olson said they now have to step up in every way now that every game can be their last.

For a team with championship history, Sanders and Olson said their goals go beyond their rematch with Chicago

Kickoff is Thursday at 7:00 p.m. Winner takes on either Arizona or San Jose.
