Today the Arena Football League named Shock quarterback Erik Meyer season MVP and Offensive Player of the Year.

Meyer led all AFL quarterbacks during the regular season with 112 touchdown passes. He passed a Shock single-season record for passing yards as Meyer finished the regular season with 4,667 yards in the air. That total ranked him third-highest among AFL signal callers during the regular season.

The former Eag led the Shock into the National Conference Championship game. He orchestrated a 15-5 record this year. That mark comes after he played just one game during the 2012 season after suffering a concussion in the opening regular season game.
